2024 RECAP
LRG Continued to Set Company Sales Records in 2024

2024 was no walk in the park—but will I remember it that way? Probably not.

Let me take you back to the beginning. In early 2020, my wife Rachel was working with my mother Debbie in her basement, selling real estate. I was working at a local church. The market was starting to heat up, there was murmuring about a mysterious illness spreading overseas, and the three of us found ourselves dreaming up something big: launching our own real estate company.

With a father who was a builder and a mother with a career in banking and real estate, you could say the industry was in my blood. We’ve always believed that real estate is the best wealth building tool in the world. Our vision then—and now—was to help everyday people to make wise, wealth-building moves through real estate. Given our experience with short-term rentals, that was our obvious niche.

As COVID-19 swept across the nation, we pushed forward. By the end of 2020, we had all the legalities in place and officially launched LOCAL Realty Group. Our first full year, 2021, was a whirlwind. Our goal wasn’t to create the biggest team—it was to build a team of highly capable and committed agents investors could trust. And we are doing just that.

Fast forward to today, and we’ve expanded far beyond our original vision. We launched LOCAL Development Group, focused on creating profitable short-term rentals for everyday investors—funded by everyday investors. Over four years, we’ve grown our services to include sales/representation, STR construction, interior design, and investment opportunities, all backed by in-house data and analytics. We believe we are on our way to becoming a vertically integrated real estate company that serves the everyday investor.

I can’t tell you how proud I am of this journey we have been on. Every year has been a record-setter. We launched in the hot markets of 2021 and 2022, and we have kept outpacing our projections in 2023 and 2024. It’s been far more challenging—and far more rewarding—than I ever imagined.

As I close the book on 2024, I want to do two things:

  1. Shout out to our team. You continue to grow, excel, and exceed expectations. I’m endlessly grateful for you all.

  2. Share a few lessons I’ve learned along the way.

Vision and values are EVERYTHING. There will be plenty of distractions, but staying anchored in your vision and values is non-negotiable. Every regrettable decision we’ve made was a result of straying from them.

You can’t care about being liked. If your vision matters, you’ll have to make tough calls that may not make sense to everyone. That’s okay.

Stop worrying about what others think. The quickest way to derail your vision is to make decisions based on others’ opinions. Do what’s best for the business, period.

Everything worth it is hard, not everything hard is worth it. Focus on challenges that yield meaningful results. We can do anything. Make sure the thing we are doing will produce something of value.

Remember what makes it all worth it. Like seeing investors fund a family trip with a return we delivered, and watching team members crush goals. When I see our people have those experiences I like to think we played some kind of role in that. I take pride in that.

Of course, this is a business—profits and hitting milestones are part of the equation, and they do bring a sense of accomplishment. But those things alone can only take you so far. For me, it’s the growth that fuels the fire. Seeing others grow, seeing the company grow, seeing my own family grow—it’s all interconnected.

When the people in our company are thriving and growing, it should mean our company is thriving and growing. That’s the heartbeat of it all. Growth is what makes it worth it, and I am proud and thankful for our growth to this point.

Here’s to even more growth in 2025!
